Cloud engineer - Apprenticeship/ Internship

We're looking for a Cloud engineer apprentice/intern to join our Operations Team in Bordeaux or Paris.

✨ The job

Join our Operations team and play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our cloud platform, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers and our engineering teams. As an apprentice/Intern, you will:

  • Contribute to the day-to-day maintenance and operational stability of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
  • Develop and enhance internal tooling to streamline workflows and improve developer productivity.
  • Participate in the deployment of new services on GCP, integrating them seamlessly into our product's core features.
  • Assist in implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Participate in projects focused on maturing our cloud engineering practices, such as site reliability engineering (SRE), database backup and restore strategies, and enhancing security measures.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn and apply best practices in cloud engineering and infrastructure as code.
  • Help to optimize and troubleshoot cloud networking, compute, and data services.
  • Contribute to the automation of operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Stack you will be working with

You will gain hands-on experience with a modern and robust cloud technology stack, including:

  • Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - VPC, Subnets, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes, BigQuery.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.
  • Scripting & Programming: Bash, Python.
  • Containerization: Docker.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions.

👤 Your profile

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice/Intern with a passion for cloud technologies and DevOps practices. You should:

  • Be eager to learn and develop your skills in cloud engineering and automation.
  • Possess a strong interest in technology and problem-solving.
  • Have a basic understanding of scripting and programming concepts (Bash and Python are a must. PHP, Ruby and Javascript are a plus).
  • Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Have a desire to contribute to a team focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Be comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Have a strong interest in learning about site reliability engineering and security best practices.
  • Have a curiosity about how to improve the developer experience.
  • Ideally have some basic knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
